Books, books, and more books
A lifetime bibliophile, I began officially writing book reviews in 2006. I’ve reviewed almost 700 reviews for Joyfully Reviewed, Fallen Angel Reviews (FAR) and RT BOOK Reviews Magazine. I merged into review editing and have edited over 800 reviews. I have also spent many hours beta-reading for authors such as Cathryn Fox, Sylvia Day and Shayla Black. I’ve freelance edited over a dozen manuscripts for self-publication.
In 2011, I beat out hundreds of other applicants to land a freelance copyediting contract with Harlequin Romance’s Carina Press, a division of Harlequin Enterprises Limited. Through them, I’ve been given dozens of projects to edit, and content/acquiring editors ask for me by name. I edit Romance and Mysteries on a consistent basis and have also worked on Sci-Fi and non-fiction manuscripts. I have extensive medical industry knowledge to assist with fine-tuning those details in your story.
I’m a book reviewer and an editor.
I’ve been doing so for over 8 years under a pseudonym. I started out reviewing strictly romance novels, which gave me a great foot in the door. Now I review everything from suspense to paranormal, from nonfiction to Sci-Fi. While I continue to review occasionally, I spend more time editing. My projects include beta reading, editing for authors who wish to self-pub and freelance editing for Harlequin/Carina Press.
My life is currently jam packed with various projects: editing, writing fiction, getting involved in my church, attempting to learn guitar, reading the entire Old Testament and discerning which direction I want my life to take, including its geographical location and career specificity. I have little time left to read for pleasure, or anything else for that matter, unless it’s late at night. But I’ve gotta read, right?
That’s okay… I can sleep when I’m old.
